10 ways to have an elegant spring (even if you work all the time).

Spring is the season of softness, beauty, and renewal—but when you’re balancing a demanding job, overflowing to-do lists, and back-to-back responsibilities, it can feel impossible to enjoy it.

The truth is: elegance isn’t about having tons of free time—it’s about how you choose to experience the time you do have.

I spent all winter working at Victoria’s Secret, and since the holidays are the busiest time of year for retail, was always too tired to do anything when I got home.

This led to me not doing any of the traditional holiday activities, and overall missing out on the holiday magic.

I know many women struggle with this. With the weather getting nicer, it can be hard to enjoy this season when you are constantly at work.

I want to share some ways to make your spring amazing.

Here are 10 graceful ways to enjoy a dreamy, elegant spring—even with a packed schedule.

1.Romanticize Your Errands

Turn grocery shopping into a slow stroll through a weekend farmer’s market. Swap your usual leggings for a flowy dress, grab a bouquet of fresh tulips, and treat yourself to a seasonal pastry or matcha. Elegance lives in the details.

I also like to listen to an audio book while I am grocery shopping. It makes my shopping trip a lot more tolerable and helps me reach my reading goals.

2. Schedule at least one day per month to do something with your girlfriends.

I know everyone is busy all the time, but it is important to make time for the people who bring you happiness. Get a group chat started and try to plan a day to do something fun. Even if it is something small like a spring walk in the park. Do your best to get something on your calendar.

3. Enjoy Evening Nature Walks

Instead of crashing on the couch after work, lace up your prettiest flats and take a walk as the sun sets. It doesn’t have to be a long hike—just a peaceful stroll to admire blooming trees, soft skies, and warm air.

4.Plan Day Trips for the Weekend

Busy during the week? Use Saturdays or Sundays for an elegant outing: drive to a flower farm, go antiquing in a nearby town, or explore a scenic hiking trail with a basket and journal in tow. No flights needed—just intention.

5. Read Something Feminine and Inspiring

Dedicate 15 minutes before bed to reading something lovely—a classic novel, an elegance book, or a mindset-shifting journal. Elegant women feed their minds with beauty, not just busyness.

8. Host a Mini Garden Picnic

On weekends, elevate your lunch with a picnic in the backyard or a local park. Pack a baguette, brie, berries, and your favorite sparkling drink. Add a book or soft playlist, and you’ve got a romantic spring moment just for you.

9. Curate a Mini Spring Capsule Wardrobe

Pick 5 go-to outfits that make you feel effortlessly polished. Think: linen pants, pastel blouses, flowy midi dresses, and dainty accessories. Having pre-styled looks helps you stay elegant on even the busiest mornings.

10. Attend a Spring Event or Market

Look for local spring fairs, garden tours, art shows, or flower festivals. Even spending one afternoon soaking in that energy can be a total reset for your spirit.

My town has an annual flower and garden festival which is a perfect way to kick off the spring season. Join some Facebook groups for your area to find out about all of the fun seasonal events.

11. Plan a Fancy Spring Brunch

Invite one or two close friends and dress up for an elegant brunch—think lace tablecloths, soft jazz, fruit tarts, and mocktails. You don’t need a reason to celebrate—spring is the occasion!

There are many beautiful brunch restaurants popping up all over. I know that my friends and I found one about an hour away and we are all going to dress up and ride together when we have a day with good weather.

12. Create a spring bucket list

Every season I create a bucket list. I usually have about 30 things that I really want to do. They are all related to the season and are things that I can easily do if I want to put in the effort.

Having a bucket list gives you structure, so when you find yourself having free time, you don’t worry about wondering what to do. You’ve already planned it all out.

13. Infuse Your Water with Spring Flavors

Add lemon, mint, cucumber, or strawberries to your daily water. It’s refreshing, easy, and makes staying hydrated feel like a treat—not a chore.

14. Dedicate 10 minutes a day to do some spring journaling.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with keeping a diary. I love putting my thoughts on paper and having them to reflect on in the future. This post has a long list of amazing spring journal prompts to try.

15. Get a feminine spring manicure

While I always prefer to get either a classic French, red, or neutral color nail, I understand that many of your like to experiment with different colors and designs on your nails. Don’t skip out on a girly manicure this spring!

Even with a demanding schedule, you can still pause to sip tea in the sunlight, wear a floral dress to your 9-to-5, or plan a dreamy walk beneath the blooming trees. These small choices add up—and they shape a life that feels beautiful, feminine, and elevated.
